Peacock’s feathers: くじゃくの羽_a0072144_4242712.jpg

A very fine day with beautiful sky,
sometimes, it can be like that.

On the day like today, I always look up the sky and walk,
hoping to find something pretty up in the sky.

Clouds are spread as if there was a peacock in his pride,
graciously displaying his feathers

A moment like this,
I feel a close presence of unknown essence of nature...

石鹼?_a0072144_2273731.jpg 2nd January 2007.

They do look like real Sushi, don’t they?

but they are handmade soap she bought in the
States.
石鹼?_a0072144_2463746.jpg

Isn’t it cool that there is even Wasabi there!
I got this from Sharon’s mum as a Christmas
present.

Today was a belated exchanging Christmas presents day with Sharon, Mike,
and Ruth. Unfortunately we could not meet up on Christmas Eve to do so,
as they were ill.

It is always exciting to receive presents, isn’t it?

This year, most of the presents I got for Christmas were somehow
very much in pink.

石鹼?_a0072144_2411237.jpgI got this pretty
pinky matched lingerie,
first,

石鹼?_a0072144_3162889.jpgin this pink floral bag
from Sharon.

石鹼?_a0072144_3171661.jpgEven Louise who knows me in the time when I was
madly into blue gave me a lovely set of pink
espresso cups and saucers!

I’ve never liked pink before. Still it is not my favourite colour.
I swear that none of my friends who have known me back in school
would pick pink as a colour to describe me, but it looks like
almost everyone who knows me here now thinks that this girly pink
is my colour. Strange, isn’t it? ;)

Italian:

Italian: イタリア語_a0072144_45782.jpg9th January 2007, at Everyman.

[If you wonder what this drawing was sopposed to meant, be patient and keep reading! You'll find out later. ;)]

Today was my second Italian lesson, and we decided to meet at Everyman
Bistro on Hope Street.

I met this Italian boy, Davide from Siccily, at SACE Christmas evening.
I asked him if he knew any Italian who could teach me Italian,
and he suggested that we could maybe do a language exchange
between Italian and Japanese; he’s going to teach me Italian and I’m
going to teach him Japanese. So that’s how I started to learn Italian.

So far, I love Italian. It is definitely one of the most beautiful languages.
French also sounds absolutely romantic and beautiful, but it seems the
language does not like me. I am never able to pronounce it right.
I, so, decided that this was not going to be my third language,
although how much I wanted it to be.

It seems that Italian is easier for me to pronounce. I do not know why,
but I might think it is something to do with the fact that vowels are
almost always pronounced in both Japanese and Italian, and also
the fact that Osaka-ben (which is a dialect people speak in Osaka
whose tone is very different from the one of Tokyo, and Osaka-ben
sounds more like singing like Italian) sounds a bit more like Italian than
any other languages I suppose.

We decided to learn a few vocabularies about vegetables, fruits and
seafood today :) As Davide came to England only a few months ago,
sometimes he does not know English words.

And this was one of them!!
Can you guess what it is?? ↓

Italian: イタリア語_a0072144_49101.jpg

No, it’s not the sun,

No, it’s not flower,

not a spider either.

Supposed to be a crab!! :)

Superb drawing of him, isn’t it? ;)
Bravo, Davi. xxx
