Les Freres:

a0072144_7433894.jpgLes Freres (photo left) is a Japanese piano duo (they are brothers) who plays sort of boogie-woogie music. I saw a photo of their album one of my best friends' blog ( who lives in Taiwan) the other day, read how she liked their music, and got curious enough to go into their website (http://www.oricondd.com/package/index.php?itemcd=89016103&samecd=1), and listened to their piano. I haven't listened to this sort of music for a while and it wasn't something I was expecting to hear (although I don't know what exactly I was expecting). I liked the second song called "Ooh See Boogie" the best of all, which is also my friend's favourite as well, though I also liked "Oh y va!" and "Rooster Head Boogie".

The review on the web describes their music as if the piano were hopping and dancing, and it is absolutely right. Their piano is so joyful that you swing your body without even realising when you are listening to it. I'd say their music is like my mood-uplifting remedy when I feel low studying at home for a whole day long! I'm definitely going to buy their CD when I go back to Japan next month! xxx
xxx
